Welcome to Beyond the Books Accounting. I’m Renee – a mum, Mindset Coach, Registered BAS Agent, Xero Specialist and founder of Beyond the Books Accounting.
We’re not your typical bookkeepers who just crunch numbers. We genuinely care about the success of our clients, both professionally and personally. We understand that every client’s journey is unique and we take a collaborative approach to meet your individual bookkeeping and business needs.
We believe that building strong relationships is the foundation of small business and we focus on creating these relationships with our clients and the communities we work with. We are passionate about collaborating with those who value connection and community as much as we do, and we are committed to making a positive impact through the services we provide.

Meet our Team
Renee Eagan
Founder & BAS Agent
Renee brings over a decade of experience in the accounting sector backed by a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) with Distinction. She began her accounting career in the city with one of the Big 4 accounting firms but soon realised there was way more to life than climbing the corporate ladder.
Instead, Renee decided to return home to the South Coast and spent the next 10 years working in Management and Tax accounting. After taking a short break from accounting employment, she decided to get her BAS Agent Licence and start her own accounting and bookkeeping business.
Outside of Beyond the Books Accounting, Renee is a Mindset Coach, Women’s Group Facilitator and co-parenting mum of one. She loves spending time in nature and cherishing every precious moment with her son. Renee truly believes that anything is possible, recognising the power of setting intentions, creating goals and taking aligned action to make them a reality.
Simone Eagan
Admin & Business Support
With 15 years’ extensive administrative experience and a diverse skill set, Simone is dedicated to supporting small business owners by offering a comprehensive range of virtual administrative and business support services. As a highly organised, efficient and meticulous professional, she takes pride in delivering high-quality work and consistently strives to go above and beyond.
At Beyond the Books Accounting, Simone is Renee’s Virtual Assistant, looking after various administrative tasks and back-office operations. She also assists with Beyond the Books Accounting clients’ general bookkeeping needs.
As well as supporting Renee and Beyond the Books Accounting, Simone runs her own Virtual Assistant business, is a mum to three beautiful girls and enjoys spending quality time with her family. Simone strongly believes that finding the right balance in your business is essential and can positively impact all areas of your life. She is dedicated to encouraging and helping you create a sustainable balance for both you and your business.

We know that keeping your accounts up to date can seem stressful and overwhelming, often leaving you uncertain about your financial situation. We're here to help you stay organised, compliant and up to date, saving you valuable time and reducing unwanted stress.
Our packages offer a comprehensive range of services from goal setting and strategy sessions to BAS lodgement and reporting, bank account reconciliations and payroll processing. Additionally, we provide Xero setup and training, payroll setup and bookkeeping clean-ups. With Renee’s extensive accounting experience, we can also deliver high level reporting requirements and analysis for larger organisations.

At Beyond the Books Accounting, we are passionate about supporting our local community. Community Engagement is one of our core values and we are dedicated to giving back through volunteering, partnerships and supporting charitable initiatives.
Our founder, Renee Eagan, is actively involved in the community. She volunteers as the Treasurer for Broulee Public School P&C and hosts free monthly events for women to create connection and support within our community. Renee is also passionate about supporting local businesses and participating in various community events whenever she can.
